The legendary Palm Beach of Cannes reborn in new splendor

The legendary Palm Beach of Cannes has been reborn in new splendor, thanks to the masterful work of the Caprini & Pellerin architectural firm. An enduring symbol of the elegance and prestige of the Côte d'Azur, this complex, inaugurated in 1928, played a crucial role in the history of the Riviera. Today, it regains its former glory while adapting to contemporary demands. In 2019, Caprini & Pellerin won the prestigious restoration project, an ambitious endeavor aimed at reviving this iconic place. Far from being a simple renovation, the architects embarked on a deep reflection on the dialogue between heritage and modernity. Their goal: to breathe new life into the soul of Palm Beach while integrating it into the current landscape of Cannes, a cosmopolitan and cultural city.

A Symbol of Cannes’ history

Located at the tip of La Croisette, Palm Beach offers a spectacular view of the Bay of Cannes, the Lérins Islands, and Cap d'Antibes. For decades, it has been the setting for lavish galas and prestigious events. Immortalized in the 1963 film "Any Number Can Win" with Jean Gabin and Alain Delon, this architectural gem has hosted icons such as Grace Kelly, Picasso, and the Kennedys.

The architectural vision of Caprini & Pellerin

After five years of work, Palm Beach now reveals itself in a modern form, while still respecting its Hispano-Moorish and Art Deco roots. The façades, carefully restored, reintegrate original cornices, motifs, and decorative elements, giving the building a subtle play of light and shadow. The color palette, inspired by the surrounding beaches, blends elegantly with locally sourced materials, chosen for their durability. Inside, every detail tells a story. Ornate ceilings, marble arches, and terrazzo floors recreate an ambiance that is both grand and intimate. The architect duo has managed to combine ancestral craftsmanship with contemporary design, while highlighting local artisanship. The reinterpretation of the original style enhances the authenticity of the place, and the boutique gallery, adorned with patinated bronze shop windows, houses renowned brands like Dior, Pucci, and Loro Piana.

A new prestige destination

Palm Beach not only celebrates its history but also embraces the future with cutting-edge luxury amenities. La Petite Maison restaurant, which opened in 2020, overlooks the Mediterranean, offering an idyllic setting and refined cuisine inspired by Provence. The complex also features a completely redesigned casino, an exclusive Members’ Club, a fitness and spa center, and an Olympic-sized seaside pool. More than 23,000 m² of space is dedicated to the Mediterranean art of living, offering a unique setting for internationally renowned events. High-end entertainment is at the heart of this project, combining modern amenities with the authenticity of the place. In 2025, an additional expansion will enrich this iconic address with the opening of two new restaurants and a wellness area.

A reimagined legacy

With the Palm Beach restoration project, Caprini & Pellerin not only paid homage to a historic building but also reinvented it. Their respectful approach to heritage, while incorporating the latest innovations, reflects their vision of luxury: a subtle luxury, where architecture tells a story and creates unforgettable experiences. Palm Beach is once again ready to write a new chapter in its history, a legend that continues to shine on the Côte d'Azur.
