This naturally stunning coastal strip offers a unique property market widely invested by an international clientele looking for a paradisiacal living environment, between nature, culture and festive luxury.

Beaulieu-sur-mer

This elegant village by definition is located only 7km from the Monegasque principality. Beaulieu-sur-Mer, figurehead of Belle Epoque architecture on the French Riviera, welcomed in the 19th century the great names of this world such as Queen Victoria, Count Tolstoy, Gustave Eiffel ...

A table : Le Restaurant des Rois

Within the five-star hotel La Réserve de Beaulieu is the only starred table in the commune. Built in 1880, then enlarged in the style of the Florentine Renaissance, from the 1900s it welcomed crowned heads and Hollywood stars, from Rita Hayworth to Sinatra. An awakening of the senses and an invitation to live a true gastronomic experience, the gastronomic restaurant of the Reserve is a gastronomic haute couture where the culinary art of the starred chef Julien Roucheteau is displayed in a grand décor. The Restaurant des Rois honours the scents and tastes of the Mediterranean around graphic plates and is executed with finesse around precise gustatory themes: iodized, smoked, spicy, acidic, fresh...

An outing: La Villa Kerylos

Located on the rocky tip of the Baie des Fourmis and backed by the monumental cliffs of Èze, Villa Kerylos is a tribute to the traditional Greek civilisation and architecture of antiquity. The residence subtly combines the luxury and charm of the past with the typical comfort of Belle Époque villas, including magnificent bathrooms. The most precious materials were used in its construction, such as Carrara marble, and the residence is furnished in a luxurious style. The rooms are lavishly decorated with mosaics and frescoes inspired by famous scenes representing great legends of classical gods and heroes. A must-see on the coast, you can take a stroll along the seafront and admire the architecture of the nearby casino.

Villefranche-sur-Mer

Enclosed between the Nice Mont-Boron and the Saint Jean Cap Ferrat peninsula, Villefranche-sur-Mer forms a veritable amphitheatre on the Mediterranean. The picturesque town, frequented since ancient times by the Greeks and Romans, has been a holiday resort for the Russian and English aristocracy since the 19th century. Villefranche-sur-Mer rises above one of the most beautiful roadsteads in the world, featuring the clear blue beaches of Les Marinières and Grasseuil, its fishing and yachting harbour and its charming old town dominated by its 16th-century citadel. Its heights offer magnificent views over the Mediterranean, from the Gulf of Saint Tropez to Cap d'Ail.

Many artists have succumbed to the charm of these enchanting places. The Villa Nellcôte, one of the most extraordinary residences on the peninsula, became a rock monument in the summer of 1971 when it was invaded by the Rolling Stones. Other rock legends who regularly stay in the area include Sir Elton John, Bono and Tina Turner. Villefranche-sur-mer is also immortalized by the 7th art by serving as a set for Alfred Hitchcock's "La Main au Collet", with Grace Kelly and Cary Grant (1955), or "Jamais plus Jamais" (1983) which saw Sean Connery make his return in the role of the iconic British spy, James Bond.

A table: La Mère Germaine

A legendary restaurant in Villefranche, La Mère Germaine has been serving fresh fish and seafood since 1938. A local institution, Cocteau had his habits there. In summer, the jet set rushes its yachts to board the restaurant which overlooks the bay of Villefranche. Sitting on the terrace facing the harbour, one can enjoy a setting envied by the whole world while tasting an authentic cuisine. Still in the hands of Germaine's descendants, the restaurant is a must in the Villefranche gastronomic landscape.

An outing : Stroll in the old town of Villefranche

The old town of Villefranche-sur-Mer cascades down the hill to the sea. The cobbled streets, lined with yellow and ochre buildings, wind their way around tree-lined squares adorned with fountains of all kinds. The obscure street, almost completely covered and vaulted since the 17th century, is a curiosity not to be missed and adds character to the village. The quays of the port offer a nice setting for sipping a cocktail on one of the many terraces. Between the view of the beach, the view of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and the view of the coloured houses, Villefranche offers a variety of landscapes which make its charm. A little further on, the Saint-Pierre chapel, known as the Cocteau chapel, was entirely decorated by the artist who stayed in Villefranche-sur-Mer during the inter-war period. In 1956, Jean Cocteau painted a whole series of frescoes on the outside and especially on the inside. Finally, the walk ends with the citadel of Villefranche-sur-Mer (known as Fort Saint-Elme). A remarkable achievement of the Duke of Savoy dating from 1554, it now houses the town hall, a garden, the Saint-Elme chapel and four small museums. The walkway links the citadel to the pretty port of La Darse, located just south of it. It offers a beautiful walk with a breathtaking view of the harbour and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat.

Saint Jean Cap Ferrat

A 282-hectare peninsula of lush vegetation, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat has been world-renowned for more than 150 years, and it multiplies postcard landscapes and illustrious residents. Indeed, the Cape has welcomed crowned heads (Leopold II, King of the Belgians, Empress Eugenie, and Baroness Ephrussi de Rothschild), international artists (Romy Schneider, Jean Cocteau, Henri Matisse, Marc Chagall, Charlie Chaplin, and Edith Piaf), politicians (Charles de Gaulle, Winston Churchill, American presidents JF Kennedy, George Bush, and Bill Clinton), and major economic players (Paul Allen, Mark Zuckerberg).

Renowned for its prestigious properties, with prices per square metre among the highest in the world, this oasis of beauty and tranquillity for the wealthy is a destination of choice for guaranteeing a lasting asset value, combining discretion and serenity.

Lovers of Cap Ferrat, like Cocteau, Matisse or more recently Elton John, meet at the Paloma Beach, a historic establishment that has welcomed the greatest artists for over a century, in the heart of the idyllic Paloma beach, intimate and green, which offers a masterly view to the east of the Cape.

Our real estate agency in Saint Jean Cap Ferrat, specialising in the sale, rental and management of exceptional properties, offers a unique selection - from waterfront to Belle Epoque properties surrounded by lush vegetation, as well as superb contemporary properties with top-of-the-range amenities and panoramic sea views. Our agency enjoys an exceptional location, between Nice and its international airport, and the Principality of Monaco.

A table : Le Cap

Located at the very end of a magical peninsula facing the big blue, the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat is hidden in the middle of lush gardens and hosts the only starred table in Saint Jean Cap Ferrat: Le Cap. The restaurant offers a choice between the superb dining room or the terrace cooled by the immense Aleppo pines. The chef is Yoric Tièche, a native of the south of France. He draws his inspiration from the history of gourmet Provence and superbly highlights Mediterranean products: smoked haddock cream, blue lobster spiked with mint, rock fish soup...

An outing: the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild

At the top of Cap Ferrat, the villa of Baroness Ephrussi de Rothschild is a magnificent palace surrounded by 9 gardens. Overlooking the Mediterranean, the villa and its gardens are an invitation to travel. The particular pink colour of the façade was a requirement of the baroness who refused to have a white house, as was the fashion at the time. No less than five years of gigantic work were necessary to build this residence in the Rothschild taste reminiscent of the great houses of the Italian Renaissance. After the visit, one can enjoy the tea room installed in the former dining room for a gourmet break under the magnificent sun of the Côte d'Azur.
