MIPIM 2023 ends with awards for three French projects!
The largest international exhibition dedicated to real estate professionals, MIPIM was held as every year at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, from March 14 to 17. The 33rd MIPIM Awards ceremony rewarded the 12 best projects in commercial real estate, including three French projects that we are proud to mention with you.
The MIPIM Awards
A prestigious ceremony, the MIPIM awards highlight the most visionary, sustainable and useful international projects, and this by respecting precise and demanding selection criteria:
1. Global sustainability
2. Integration of the project into its environment and community
3. Quality of the user experience
4. Economic contribution
5. Originality of the concept
6. Architectural qualities
That's some 43 projects, in 11 different categories, that were judged at the ceremony.
The green real estate trend confirmed
The MIPIM this year wanted to be eco-responsible, with selection criteria turned es social environmental and governance issues (ESG)
A thoughtful choice, in a context where the real estate sector has no other option than to access a sustainable and ecoresponsible model.

France among the winners - Three projects that stand out.
Havlog
In the "Best Industrial & Logistics projectc" category, Havlog, Le Havre's largest logistics platform, dedicated to specialists in the distribution of garden and interior furnishings. With a building of extravagant dimensions (92,000 m2), the Havlog - equipped with 37,000 m2 of photovoltaic panels - has a storage capacity of more than one million m³ unequalled in the industrial port zone. Benefiting from a strategic location in the heart of the Pont de Normandie Logistics Park, Havlog enjoys direct proximity to the Le Havre multimodal terminal.
Morland Mixité Capitale
Morland Mixité Capitale, awarded the "Best Mixed-used project" and the special jury prize. A true urban transformation project, the objective is to rehabilitate the former administrative site of the Paris prefecture. Led by the architectural firms CALQ and David Chipperfield Architect, the project is based on principles of openness, mixity, sharing, innovation and artistic influence. Located on the banks of the Seine, the Morland Mixité Capitale is defined as a completely multipurpose place with 9,167 sq.m. of offices,15,359 sq.m. of housing, a swimming pool and fitness area, a daycare center, a food market, an art gallery, a hotel and several green spaces.
Plots B1-C1North
Les Ilots B1-C1Nord, scheduled to open in 2025, won an award in the "Best New Development" category. Powered by Nexity, this real estate complex combines housing, shops and a higher education school. As Lyon Confluence is very attentive to the principle of social diversity, the program will offer social housing, residential apartments, and premises dedicated to the tertiary sector, including higher education, various activities and shops.
Three French projects were recognized worldwide at MIPIM 2023, while waiting for the next one - MIPIM 2024, scheduled to take place in Cannes from March 12 to 15, 2024.
